חָמוּרm., חֲמוּרָה f. (חָמַר I) heavy, weighty, important; strict, severe, stringent, restrictive. Kel. I, 4 ח׳ שבכולםוכ׳ the most stringent of all are the laws concerning corpses.איסור ח׳, v. אִיסּוּר.Snh.50a שריפה ח׳וכ׳ death by burning is a severer punishment than Ib. IX, 4, a. e. נידון בח׳ he suffers the severer penalty of the two. Ab.
